Mr. Park Jae-sun was inaugurated as the 28th Director General of the Korea Central Customs Laboratory (KCCL) on July 3, 2024. During the inauguration ceremony, Director General Park emphasized the imperative to prevent the importation of drugs and illegal or harmful foods that pose a threat to social safety and public health. This mandate is grounded in the advanced customs analysis technology that the laboratory has developed over the years. Furthermore, he underscored the KCCL's pivotal role in global customs analysis standardization, including its contributions as the World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia-Pacific Regional Customs Laboratory. This involves providing consulting services for the establishment of laboratories in developing countries and operating capacity-building training programs for WCO member countries.
