Korea Customs Service, under the new vision of “Dynamically Innovative Korea Customs Service for Forward-Leaping Korea as a Global Pivotal State”, aims to create a customs administration fitting for Korea’s status as a global pivotal state. Through this, we aim to contribute to the progression of Korea to the next level.
KCS plans to embark on the core mission of fostering solidarity and collective prosperity with the international community, marking this year as the start of realizing the vision.
In the area of social security, KCS shall strengthen global joint drug enforcement with high-risk countries and impose full inspection on high-risk travelers. In addition, we plan to further incorporate innovative technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) into on-site operations. .
KCS will also focus on active support of the growth of businesses in the export and import sectors. Arbitrary or unnecessary rules and regulations will be amended and Mutual Recognition Agreements(MRAs) for Authorized Economic Operators(AEOs) with major trade partners will be pursued to initiate a conducive trade environment for businesses.
In addition, KCS strives to lead the way by establishing and distributing international standards for customs administration, and to promote international solidarity by enhancing collaboration with relevant ODA agencies as well as introducing a point of cooperation for FTA implementation.
